A draft environment report for the project is set to be released this summer, followed by a construction tender in the fall. If all goes well, they'll start to build the bridge in spring or summer of 2022.
The $11 billion Ontario Line itself is expected to be complete by 2027. When finished, it will be the largest single subway expansion project in Toronto's history with 15 new subway stations across the city.
