Every year – the first Sunday after Labour Day – come rain, shine and even almost snow, we have held the annual neighbourhood picnic in the park. From all over the community we come together to share a pot-luck lunch in the park. Each year it’s gotten a bit bigger so after 2020, let’s hope 2021 is the best yet.
This is a free event. Members of the community each bring a dish. We set up on the park picnic tables and even bring a few of our own. If anyone wants to be involved, please reach out. We need someone to plan children’s activities. In the past, the fire department has shown up to treat the kids to a truck to play on.
Look for the signs towards the end of August. Hopefully by then we will be able to host our event.
