Come one, come all. It was such fun we're doing it again.
We all had such a good time at last year's Pumpkin Patch, Shanta Maraj and her team are creating a Pumpkin Patch 2022 in our park this year.
WHEN: Saturday, October 1st
TIME: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
WHERE: Greenbelt neighbourhood park (that's what our little park is called)
WHAT: Free pumpkins for your family just in time to decorate for Halloween
The first 50 families that come out Saturday, October 1st with a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank will receive a free pumpkin.
SUPPORT THE FOOD BANK
When you pick up your pumpkin this year, drop off a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank. Shanta will have donation boxes to collect whatever you can bring.
It's been a hard year for many families. Our community wants to make a difference to people struggling with hunger and poverty. If you'd like some ideas of what is needed, here are the most requested items:
Canned fish (Tuna, Salmon, Sardines
Canned fruit
Canned tomatoes (whole, diced, crushed)
Canned vegetables
Oatmeal
Peanut butter
I'm also told baby formula is in high demand
