It's almost time for our annual neighbourhood picnic. Only once in the last 8 years have we missed our picnic and that was last year due to Covid-19. It's a lot of fun, bring a dish you'd like to share and come out and meet your neighbours.
Above are memories from the last picnic in 2019. Each picnic has been a little different from the last. We've had the fire brigade join us, ice cream treats trucks and more.
Over the years we've had wind, sun, a little rain... but everyone has come out and had a great time. Everyone is welcome!
If you'd like some ideas on what to bring:
a chair to sit on, or a blanket
a dish to share (this is your chance to show off some of your amazing cooking/BBQ skills)
maybe some water for the kids to drink
a ball or something for the kids to play with
What will be supplied:
tables with table clothes for the food to be spread out on
name tags
some paper napkins, plates, cutlery and glasses (more is always welcome)
anti-wasp pots
We'll set up at noon. As you can see from the photos above, 4 legged fur babies are also welcome but keep them on a leash. It's probably not a good idea to bring your pet if they are skittish or nervous around a bunch of people.
Because we are still in the middle of Covid, if you feel uncomfortable with a shared meal, please bring a blanket and your own picnic lunch. Masks are also an option. This is meant to be a fun day, enjoyed by all.
